PowerPoint | i-pointing at the IFA 2010 in Berlin
On 3 September 2010 the 50th IFA opened its doors in Berlin. The IFA is the largest trade show for consumer electronics in Europe, offering technology enthusiasts and those interested in the latest developments a wide range of innovations in the area of consumer electronics as well as information and communications technology.Along with other service providers, we were responsible for the smooth running of the presentations and for providing visual PowerPoint support for the speakers at the press conference.
Before the event, we graphically enhanced and optimised the revised presentations of the speakers. Thanks to the cooperation of the Panasonic marketing team, the assistants and the speakers themselves, we were well prepared for a flying start.
Our on-site involvement enabled the speakers to incorporate last-minute changes shortly before the press conference and to optimise the presentations according to the schedule of events. For each speaker, the on-stage presentations needed to be displayed on the right- and left-hand sides of an enormous viewing screen. In the centre, close-up views of the speakers and moderators were also shown during the event.
Thanks to the truly impressive job done by the excellent on-site technical crew who were responsible for the complex and smooth interplay of sound and images, we were able to control and influence the presentations from the central control room of the 600-capacity hall.
After numerous rehearsals with the moderators, speakers, their assistants, the Panasonic team, their service providers and the i-pointing team, the Panasonic press conference was successfully held on 2 September in the presence of countless reporters. The presentation of the speakers’ slides supported the message communicated by the speakers and accompanied the presentation of the company’s new products, all under the theme "3D YOUR WORLD".
We are pleased that we were able to provide the public with an impressive presentation and wish to thank Panasonic Europe for placing their trust in our services. We are also grateful for the friendly way in which our team was received in the set-up/breakdown crew and for the opportunity to see behind the scenes of this carefully and elaborately planned event.
